More than 50,000 hotel rooms in some of the largest cities in the United States are now more energy efficient, thanks to the expertise of Troy Hartmann, CEO and founder of Pacific Energy Service & Facilities, Inc.
From Hawaii to New York City, Troy has helped some of the country’s largest hotel chains – including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Holiday Inn, Embassy Suites, and Doubletree Hotels, just to name a few -- install energy management systems and guest room energy controls in premium hotel properties. His knowledge of utility rebate programs has made the process cost-beneficial for his customers.
Troy brings more than 20 years of experience to the energy management field. He has worked not only with hotels, but with military installations in four states, school districts in three states, and multi-family housing developments.
A California licensed general contractor, Troy also specializes in hotel interior renovation. One of his largest projects was renovating the guest rooms and lobbies of 18 Extended Stay America hotels in Northern California, Oregon and Washington State. He also managed partial guest-room renovations in 35 other properties for the hotel chain.
In 2013, Troy received an Award of Excellence from the Premium Efficiency Cooling Program for saving more than 1.5 million kilowatt hours for San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) customers. The program is funded by California utility customers and administered by SDG&E. He was also recognized for his excellent customer service while implementing the incentive program.
When he’s not busily helping customers cut their energy use or renovate their properties, Troy spends his time on his boat, sailing and fishing around San Diego, Calif.
